Fifty
Kelly would have been fifty today. A half century of Mullan. Imagine that. What she could have done if she hadn't been...distracted? She would have blazed.
I'm just back from a holiday in Wales with friends Gwen, Row and Mike, all friends of Kelly's from back in the day. And Kelly was there too, in the stories, in the love those people still have for her. She lives on in everyone she touched, everyone whose life she made better, everyone she made laugh. She excelled at being her. She was really, really good at it. And she'd have been even better at 50. She showed no sign of her brilliance dimming. She'd have been incandescent.
And she'd have been fuming at the state of the world too. Incandescent, again.
