Bang! Bang!

I'm delighted to find my story, Bang Bang Maxwell's Silver Hammer, has been published in the latest Exacting Clam number. It's a short story about perennial rock irritant, Liam Gallagher, but this is not a Liam Gallagher you'll recognise, though the story is based on true events. Liam did spend a feckless youth uninterested in music, until a schoolyard (or possibly farmyard) altercation saw him hospitalised, a side-effect of which was his musical awakening, and the first song that fired his imagination was Madonna's Like A Prayer.

Beyond that...everything is pure invention. My Liam, like Ray Milland's Man With X-Ray Eyes, sees deeper. And yet the music industry has other ideas...

I love Exacting Clam. And this issue looks like an absolute corker again. They are tireless in their pursuit of excellence. And also in pursuit of my stories about Britpop detritus.

Oasis are supposed to be doing gigs around now aren't they? That's gone a bit quiet hasn't it? Are they not currently ripping off their fans?

I've written a whole book of short stories inspired by music. I think it's pretty good. It's in the throes of endless editing, but I think it's getting there. If you like this one, you'll find plenty to enjoy. If you don't like this one, what the hell is wrong with you?
