Peeve
Today's peeve is people popping up on social media and, under a post where you are attempting to be amusing/useful/informative/not crushingly dull, writing: "Are we feeling a bit bored?"
Go to their page. They will have less than 100 friends and I guarantee it will be just photos and memes. They will offer not a single original thought of their own. They drift around social media like shitty pollen and affect a world weary, seen-it-all-before insouciance while writing dull, socially policing comments under thoughts and ideas they could never formulate on their own.
And that's why they're a peeve. But not a pet one. A feral peeve going through your bins.

This was not about me, btw. It was something on a friend's Facebook page, a friend who has serious underlying health problems and who has been "self-shielding" for weeks. And still someone wrote under one of his posts: "Are we feeling a bit bored?" Too fucking right he's feeling a bit bored. I went to her page: 97 friends, all memes, photos of her drinking wine in her sunglasses. Right. I am judging you.
