Shamble On
Liz Truss has resigned after 44 days as Prime Minister, the shortest primacy in the UK's history. She was very bad at being Prime Minister. Her ideas sank the economy, she u turned on everything, she sacked Kwasi Kwarteng for delivering the mini-budget that she asked for, she hid from Prime Minister's Question Time, and she couldn't talk. She had the least charisma of any politician I have ever seen. Your standard household AI was brighter and more approachable than she was. I would be a terrible Prime Minister - no really, I'd be awful - but I'd have been better than this clown.
And stay out... |
Anyway, she's gone. Her time in office was shorter than the leadership battle that got her the gig. Pathetic. The next leadership battle is expected to take only a week. Sunak is still tainted in the eyes of a lot of Tories. Mordaunt is a worry, as she might even be competent. Boris Johnson is said to be thinking of standing which is SO him. It's a couple of months since he resigned in disgrace following the resignation of 50 Tories, outraged at the wake of sleaze that followed him, like piss from a rat. But desperate Tories have short memories and thick people are sentimental about the good old days - of a couple months ago.
But he can't come back, can he? He has a halo of greasy shit about him. He's a political pig pen.
So a new Prime Minister in about a week. Sake.
